INGREDIENTS |
1 pound ground beef
1 Onion (chopped)
¼ cup Parsley (chopped)
2 cloves Garlic (chopped)
5 slices of Bread
1 cup Chicken Soup Stock
Salt
Pepper
1 Egg
¼ cup Parmigian Cheese(grated)
¼ cup Bread Crumbs
| 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
1 Egg (yolk)
1/8 Cup Water

PREPARATION
Beef:
Sauté onion until golden in color. Add chopped parsley and garlic; continue to sauté.
In a bowl place meat and add sauté, salt and pepper. In a separate bowl, dip bread into chicken stock, squeeze well, and add bread to meat mixture. Mix in parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. (if mixture is too wet, add more parmesan and bread crumbs). Divide meat mixture in half.
Puff Pastry:
Mix egg yolk with a little water in a separate dish.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out each pastry sheet into an 18in. x 16in. rectangle. Invert meat loaves and place in center of each pastry; fold short sides of pastry over loaf. Fold long sides over loaf and pastry, seal all seams.

COOKING
Place loaves seam side down in a 15in. x 10in baking pan; brush with egg mixture. Bake in oven @ 350 deg. for 1 hour and 10 min. Remove and slice
Notes:
If pastry begins to brown too early, cover with foil.
