INGREDIENTS |
Oil (enough to fry)
1/2 cup milk
2 1/2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp sugar
1 egg (beaten)
1/8 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp butter (melted)
4 - 6 ripe bananas (firm)
whipped creme

PREPARATION
Heat oil in wok or large skillet to 375 degrees.
Mix milk, flour, cornstarch & sugar in a small bowl; blend well. Add egg & baking powder; then stir in butter. Make sure to mix batter well.
Slice bananas into 1 1/2 - 2 in. pieces.
Serve with cold whipped creme.
Notes:
You may slice bananas in smaller sections to use as topping for ice cream or pies.

COOKING
Dip sliced bananas in batter and fry 2 to 3 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove & place on paper towel to drain excess oil. |
