	Sitto’s Mujaddara (Lentil-Rice) Dish Main Dishes Prep & Cook Time 40 minutes
INGREDIENTS
1 cup lentils(washed) 1 cup rice(washed) 1 qt water 1 onion (chopped) ¾ cup oil
PREPARATION Chop onions; wash lentils and rice.
COOKING Fill pot with quart of water and add lentils. Boil lentils for 15 minutes, or until they rise to the surface. In a separate skillet, sauté onion in oil. Pour Onions into Boiling lentil, lower heat and add rice. Cook rice at high heat for about 5 min. Lower heat and simmer for about 15 min.
