INGREDIENTS |
1 ½ cup butter (soft)
1 cup sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp bourbon
1 tsp lemon extract
4 cups flour
1 cup chopped walnuts
4 tsp baking powder
1 cup (chopped) almonds or walnuts
1 tsp grated orange peel
¼ cup canned milk.

PREPARATION
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together thoroughly into a dough. Flour you hands and roll dough into 4 loaves.
Brush canned milk over the top of the loaves. You may use crème de coco, aneseth, strega or brandy liguor. |
COOKING
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes on greased cookie sheet.
When baked remove and slice into ½ in. cookies; put the sliced cookies back into the oven to bake for 5 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown. |
