INGREDIENTS

1 ½ cup butter (soft)
1 cup sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp bourbon
1 tsp lemon extract
4 cups flour
1 cup chopped walnuts
4 tsp baking powder
1 cup (chopped) almonds or walnuts
1 tsp grated orange peel
¼ cup canned milk.

PREPARATION


Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix all ingredients together thoroughly into a dough. Flour you hands and roll dough into 4 loaves.

Brush canned milk over the top of the loaves. You may use crème de coco, aneseth, strega or brandy liguor.

COOKING


Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes on greased cookie sheet.

When baked remove and slice into ½ in. cookies; put the sliced cookies back into the oven to bake for 5 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
