Grandma Flo's Berry Coffee Cake

INGREDIENTS

CAKE and TOPPING
1 package yellow cake mix
1 cup flour
¼ oz dry yeast
2/3 cups water (125 deg.)
2 eggs
21 oz fruit pie filling(Cherry or Blueberry)
1/3 cups butter (chilled).


GLAZE
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
1 Tbsp corn syrup
1 – 2 Tbsp water

PREPARATION


Heat oven to 350 degrees.

CAKE
Using a large mixing bowl; combine 1 ½ cups cake mix, with flour, water and yeast. Beat until smooth, then add eggs; blend well.

Pour into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 in baking dish. Spoon the fruit pie filling over the top; carefully.

TOPPING
Using the remaining cake mix; cut in butter and mix lightly, until crumbly. Sprinkle over the top.

GLAZE
Mix together glaze ingredients until smooth.

COOKING


CAKE
Bake at 350 deg. for 30 to 45 min. or until lightly browned.

When cake has cooled drizzle glaze over the cake.
