INGREDIENTS |
1 cube melted margarine
¾ cups sugar
3 eggs
1 jigger peach brandy
1 8oz bag sliced almonds
3 cups flour
1 egg yolk
1 tsp water.
1 tsp baking powder.

PREPARATION
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Mix all ingredients together. With flowered hands, divide the dough into loaves (9in x 5in x 1in est.). Brush loaves with one egg yolk and a tsp of water.
Cut loaves into 1” (one in.) slices. Place slices on their sides and continue baking. |
COOKING
Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until firm to touch. Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes.
Once sliced, bake at 350 degrees for 15 min, or until lightly browned. Repeat on other side for 15 more minutes. Keep an eye not to burn. |
