INGREDIENTS

1 large oven bag
¼ cup flour
2/3 cup water
1 pkg onion soup mix
3 ½ lb. boneless pot roast
10 red potatoes (unpeeled)
4 carrots (sliced)
1 onion (chopped)
1 Tbsp parsley (chopped)

PREPARATION


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Shake flour in oven bag and place in 13 in. x 9 in. baking pan. Add water, parsley and onion mix to bag. Squeeze oven bag to blend in the flour. Add beef to the bag and turn to coat the beef with the soup mix.

Place potatoes, carrots and onion around beef and close the oven bag with a nylon tie. Cut, 3 or 4, ¼ in. slits on top of the bag.

COOKING


Bake at 325 degrees for 2 ½ to 3 hours or until beef is tender.

Notes: You may make gravy by mixing ¼ of the beef liquid to 1 Tbsp of flour and 1 cup water. Cook over low heat blend until smooth. Also, if you do not have an oven bag, bake in a covered roasting pot.
